5 Myths of Kickboxing

Kickboxing is very beloved in world now. There are myths about kickboxing on the Tv. Some of them are not base on the real life. If you look at kickboxing from a commoner's perspective, it would appear that it's not of any good. But look at mixed martial arts using the experienced eyes of martial art practitioners. At the List Universe we love to dispel myths - so here we are, yet again, presenting the list of base myths that need to be debunked and forgotten once and for all.

Myth #1: Kickboxing is Not Easy to learn.

Muaythai Kick Boxing

A lot of citizen think the kickboxing is difficult to learn. Beginners without any sports perceive can learn it speedily but extremely difficult to become a prosperous expert kickboxing fighter, the recreational kickboxing student can learn moves very speedily and will enlarge quite dramatically. Additionally, kickboxing boosts confidence, fitness levels, and reasoning strength. The speculate why kickboxing is quite easy to learn is that it is a sport based on what works in reality. At an authentic Kickboxing gym, one does not learn 95% of moves offered by the martial arts. Kickboxing focuses on what is necessary and what is practical in real life. By definition, the simplest moves are often the ones that work in real life. That's not like the Hollywood moive.

Myth #2: Kickboxing is dangerous.

Kickboxing is a sport as safe as any other active sport such as running, football, or squash. In the 15 years since modern mixed martial arts came into being, one fighter, Sam Vasquez of Houston, has died as a effect of injuries sustained in a sanctioned Mma fight. By comparison, expert Boxing experiences a few deaths a year. Additionally, with the increase of Kickboxing as a sport, the training standards have increased and most schools now offer programs that use Kickboxing as a fitness platform for the general population.

Myth #3: Kickboxing was once banned in nearly every state of Us

Actually, only one state, New York, kickboxing is not allowed by law, a statute that remains on the books (hence why Saturday's Cbs show is across the river in Newark, N.J.). The incompatibility is the Ufc refuses to promote in places that don't have a sanctioning athletic commission, an entirely separate matter from an outright ban.

Myth #4 Kickboxing is too violence in our culture.

The base components of kickboxing, like jiu-jitsu, judo, taekwondo, and Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, teach citizen discipline and respect. Women's self-defense classes based on utilizing kickboxing techniques are popping up all over the country. This would seem to indicate self-defence, not violence.

Both the U.S. Soldiery and police departments from coast to coast teach soldiers and police officers how to use kickboxing to fight. If kickboxing is good enough for our nation's peacekeepers, it should be good enough for younger generation.

Myth #5 Kickboxing is not professional.

There is an additional one name of kickboxing, Mixed Martial Arts (Mma). Mma is a kind of match that involves separate disciplines and arts. Kickboxing holds some of the best martial artists in the world. Before entering Mma, some of the players are college students or Olympic champions. In order to stay as competing as the other sports, the athletes of kickboxing are required to enter trainings of martial arts varieties to be able to learn added disciplines like boxing, judo, jiu-jitsu, wrestling and karate.

Ultimately,Kickboxing is here to stay and is a safe bet sway on today's society. Kickboxing is for every person concerned in having fun, getting fit, and production new friends.

Muaythai Kick Boxing

A Brief History of Mma
It all began in 1993 when the Gracie house decided to put on a competition to find out finally which was the most productive martial art. They had been traveling the country previously and enthralling many 'Guru's' that were running various martial art schools. The most enthralling part is that they were not just beating their competitors, they were winning in under 3 minutes and without a touch of blood being spilt.

Today they has been an explosion in popularity in this contest and in 2006 new records were set when two of the top fighters Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz came head to head and grossed the highest box office narrative in Ppv for any kind of boxing event that had gone previously. It goes without saying that Mma is here to stay and it will only get great and better.

Strategies
There are 3 disciplines that you must expert if you are going to get good in mixed martial arts. The first is known as 'Striking'. This is the part of the fight that is fought on the feet. Styles like Muay Thai Boxing, Kickboxing and other astonishing styles will need to be mastered if you want to compete.

The second is known as 'The Clinch'. This is were the fighters are still on the feet any way they are grappling and fighting for control using pummeling and strikes. This is were take downs take place that brings us to the last discipline.

'Ground Fighting' is how the Mma competition started in the first place with the Gracie family. It has been described like chess on the floor with lots of intricate techniques and use of leverage to put your opponent in a inferior position.

Protection
As this is a very perilous sport it is leading that you are well protected from injury. The most leading is your head. Bangs to the head are the biggest cause of brain damage in fighters. Some kind of leather headgear or fairtex muay thai gear should be worn at all times in training and sparring sessions. In up-to-date years Mma muay thai techniques such as elbow strikes have been taken out because they are still to dangerous.

It is all the time best when starting whatever new to think of safety first and make sure you get the right protection.

Myanmar Lethwei(kickboxing). Kickboxing - a form of Myanmar martial arts - has been preserved over the centuries land still remai Myanmar Lethwei(kickboxing). Kickboxing - a form of Myanmar martial arts - has been preserved over the centuries land still remains a favourite traditional game of the people. Although somewhat similar to Thai, French, American and other types of kickboxing, it has maintained a more traditional down-to-earth directness. Myanmar kickboxing is closer to street fighting than the Queensberry rules of professional Western boxing and makes no pretenses of being anything else. Though Myanmar kickboxing has its own set of rules, fundamentally the target is any part of the opponent's head or body, and the weapon is any part of the body especially the head, fists, knees and elbows. The result is a fight not for the squeamish. The best blows include high kicks to the neck, elbows jabbed into the face and head, knees thrust into the ribs, and low kicks to the calves. It is an art in the truest sense of the word in that skill, technique and other attributes come into play. While mere punching with the fists may seem tame, it certainly is not when there are no gloves and hands are only wrapped in strips of cloth. However, to protect the boxers from accidents, there are rules against scratching, biting, hair pulling and hitting or kicking an opponent in the groin. A boxer who is down may not be kicked or hit in any way. Rules & Regulations Anything goes in ...

The Basics of Mixed Martial Arts

Mma (Mixed Martial Arts), as the name suggests, is a mixture of many separate martial arts styles into a full feel combat sport. Competitors are able to use a wide range of techniques to defeat their opponent. Most strategies are categorized into two main areas, astonishing and grappling.

Striking techniques involve the use of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows. Most astonishing occurs when the fighters are standing up. Strikes on the ground are allowed as well, but strikes to the head are slight to punches and elbows against a "downed" opponent, which is someone with a hand, arm, or knee on the ground. Some common astonishing styles in Mma include Boxing, Karate, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Taekwondo.

Muaythai Kick Boxing

Grappling techniques consist mostly of clinch holds, submission holds, sweeps, takedowns, and throws. These techniques can allow a fighter to operate his opponent standing up, take him down to the canvas, or operate him on the ground and reach dominant positions. Some common grappling styles in Mma include Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Sambo.

The sport of Mma started in the early 90's, and consisted of fighters from varied martial arts pitted against each other to determine the very best fighting style in the world. In the early days of Mma, there were few rules in place. Fighters fought bare-knuckled with no time limits. The fight was over when a competitor was no longer able to continue. Since then many rules have been added to protect the fighters, and help promote the sport into the mainstream of society. The fighters of today use small (4-6 oz) fingerless Mma gloves to protect their hands and help facilitate the use of grappling techniques. General boxing gloves are too cumbersome and lack the open handed dexterity needed in Mma. Other than gloves, the only Mma gear the competitors are armed with is a mouth guard, a groin protector, and a pair of Mma shorts.

There are any ways to beat your opponent in Mma. A Knockout (Ko) is when a competitor is rendered unconscious from strikes. A Technical Knockout (Tko) is when a fight has been stopped by the referee due to excessive damage inflicted on a fighter that has not shown to be intelligently defending himself. A competitor can also win by a "tap out" from the opponent. This is done by tapping the canvas or your opponent, or by verbally announcing "tap". This can occur anytime during the fight when a competitor feels he cannot continue. This type of victory is approximately all the time the consequent of a joint-lock or choke-hold submission technique that would otherwise end in injury or unconsciousness. If the fight goes on until time has expired (usually 3-5 five slight rounds), a winner is decided by the judges.

Mma fighters must be well versed in any of the martial arts styles proven efficient in mixed martial arts competition. Mma training of today typically consists of strength/conditioning, cardio, boxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and varied other styles.

Pros and Cons - Kick Boxing - Muay Thai

I want to first say, that when I was studying kick boxing, it was mixed with Muay Thai methods. So some of the things I learned may be slightly at an advantage or disadvantage in a real fight. I will say though the aggregate of the two was fully Awesome! The power of Muay Thai is so extraordinary that its practically excellent to any other stand up strikes. The speed of Kick Boxing is easily what brings it a whole new level though. Muay Thai, uses grappling, elbow strikes, knee strikes, each blow meant to put an end to the fight I like that! Kick Boxing uses Kicks, alot like Tae Kwon Do, and Boxing. Trust me that is a deadly combination. The Kicks In this style of fighting are regularly meant to target the opponents knees, and head. The knee is used to target the opponents ribs, and head. The elbows target the head and when potential are used to stop your opponent from attacking, but not just to block him, but to hurt him enough he will not want to swing again. The hand strikes are very much like boxing, with a defensive stance resembling Tae Kwon Do with your hands.

The Kicks are much harder, then any fighting style I have ever been in. The lowest of the shin is used to attack with, and your goal is to break anything you hit. Not just quickly hit it and move away. This hurts far worse then a Tae Kwon Do kick as well. The down side of this is that the knee kicks are performed much like a foot ball bunt, which means there is plentifulness of time to get out of the way if its not set up properly. Also the fact that you are hitting your shin puts you at a higher risk of breaking your leg. If you do not custom the technique and become developed in it, you will do more harm to yourself then your opponent. I will say that your would stand a good chance against a man with a knife, or a stick when you become developed in this fighting style. The presume being you are able to block much harder strikes then most fighters, and your strikes regularly have twice as much put down power.

Muaythai Kick Boxing

The speed of the movements is a qoute though. When your fighting more then one man at a time you can't afford any kind of telegraphing. Naturally put you cannot afford for them to see your kick before it has already hit them. Also the stances are some what wide which makes it hard to move quickly, even though it does give you a harder hit. It gives you a much slower dodge. Any way you are going to learn grappling that allows to operate opponents movements twice your size. With these movements you can easily break arms, legs, ribs, even an opponent's neck. (All while standing) I like that advantage. Because as we all know the worst place to be is on the ground while a fight, with two other guys stomping down on your face. I give Muay Thai, and Kick Boxing (mixed) a nine out of ten. It is without a doubt one of the most deadly combats available, Any way not for its. Complexity, but for its simplicity. Because anything that can throw punches, kicks, elbows, and knees, can be transformed into an elite fighter with this style. This is what makes it so deadly. It used basic movement to stop, and sometimes even kill an opponent. This is a specific must for anything any where who wants to enhance the over all mechanics for there basic fighting style, while at the same time gaining extreme remarkable power.

I hope this helps you guys decree on your fighting style.
